Originally named Rays School Bus Company, Citywide Transit and its affiliates was founded in 1975 by Mrs. Ray Fouche and her late husband Luc Fouche. Mrs. Fouche, a mother of two, continued the business after losing her husband to cancer in 1982. Although difficult, Mrs. Fouche persevered to make the business a success despite the hardships of losing her husband at such a young age. Not only did she maintain the business, but she worked arduously to build upon what she and her husband had initiated. With her outstanding work ethic, and the assistance of her sister Ms. Joanna Brown, head of dispatching, and two brothers; Mr. Raphael Nyack, head of Mechanics, and Mr. Lawrence Nyack, head of Operations. There after Mr. Colonel Glenn Mignon came on board as general manager and Mr. CY Njoku as Controller the business evolved from a small size company to becoming one of the main transportation services contracted by the Board of Education.
Currently, our company services the greater New York area which consists of Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Westchester, and the Bronx. Our main emphasis is to ensure a safe, responsible, and secure environment for the children and adults being transported.
